It is well known that the major players from the world of electronics always keep something special to exclusively present at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which was held on Jan 7-10, 2020, in Las Vegas. This year Xunison presented three new BriteHub devices with Wi-Fi Mesh, Smart Home, Energy Management, Cyber Security, Parental Controls, and Android TV support.
CEO Ryan O’Donovan represented Xunison with his team at CES. Here are his impressions from the event.
Q: Why did Xunison exhibit at CES this year?
RO: CES is the biggest tradeshow for all the innovative consumer electronics developed each year, and Xunison released a few of our latest products at the event as well: the BriteHub All-in-One Router, and stand-alone Smart Home hub and Wi-Fi Mesh devices. Our products and flexible configurations were praised by many industry experts, media attendees, investors, and other exhibitors.
Q: What made the most impression on you at CES?
RO: There’s an amazing buzz of energy as people from all over the world gather, present their innovative products, and make new business connections. The influence that attending CES can have on solution providers is strong, and results are very positive when you’re bringing high value solutions to market.
Q: What was Xunison’s goal for CES?
RO: Our objectives for attending and exhibiting were to meet with business partners and potential customers, check out the competitors, and learn more about the latest market trends.
Q: How many visitors were at the Xunison stand?
RO: There were more than 800 people visiting our stand during the four days of the show!
Q: What was the interest in Xunison products?
RO: Most visitors commented that they have never seen such highly-integrated products. Our BriteHub all-in-one device includes a high-performance router and smart home gateway, along with energy management, cybersecurity and parental control features, bundled in one box. These devices not only support Z-Wave but also ZigBee, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth smart home protocols.
Q: How did the telecom and ISP attendees respond to Xunison’s offering?
RO: Our BriteCare back-end management platform got lots of attention as well. Many hardware providers have developed a smart home gateway, but we saw none that included the management platform for telecoms and ISPs to manage the setup and support for their customers. We even received a few requests from other smart home companies to license our back-end system to them so they can offer improved customer service and support.
Q: Did the company generate new business opportunities?
RO: We met with more than 150 business partners and potential customers who wanted to learn more about Xunison and our solutions. All those who visited us were able to see for themselves how the use of smart home automation bundled with high-quality connectivity can increase the comfort, safety, and security of people’s homes, along with a significant boost of energy efficiency.
